By making a purchase from The Montessori Shop, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These provisions are in place to ensure mutual understanding and acceptance of this agreement, with the aim of protecting both parties and setting expectations regarding our service.

To meet your needs, we offer two delivery options:

General overview
We try to keep our inventory accurate based on stock availability, however, there may be discrepancies and we may not be able to fulfill all items in your order. In this situation, we will contact you to determine if you would like to wait until the out-of-stock item is available again or if a store credit would be more suitable.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are determined at the time of order, taking into account the weight, dimensions, and, most importantly, the address to which the items are to be shipped. Shipping costs will be charged at the time of purchase. This amount will represent the total cost of your order, including shipping costs.

Delivery terms
Orders shipped abroad may be in transit for up to 4 days. However, in some cases, this waiting time may be extended (up to 20 days). This time may vary considerably depending on the type of delivery selected and the supplier of the items included in your order.
4.1 Delivery time
Orders are usually processed within two business days after payment confirmation. We allow 24 hours for the delivery address to be changed.
Our teams contact the warehouses where the items are stored Monday through Friday during normal business hours, except on national holidays when shipments to these locations are not made.
When you make a purchase from The Montessori Shop, the shipping time does not exceed 5 business days. Shipments are usually made within five business days of the order. However, during this busy season, delivery may take 2 to 4 weeks.
It is important to distinguish between shipment and receipt. Delivery is the process of moving items to their receiving address to ensure they arrive correctly. Shipping refers to the dispatch of items from an order.
This is why, in unusual situations, delivery times may be extended to up to 5 weeks (2 business days for order processing, 5 business days for shipping, and 4 weeks for delivery).
The Montessori Shop will notify you of these significant delays to avoid any inconvenience. However, once this five-week period has elapsed, we are committed to satisfying you.
To achieve this, we will offer you options such as returning your order at our expense or issuing a gift voucher for a value exceeding the cost of your original order. This is rare, but The Montessori Shop is so successful that we prefer to anticipate these situations and inform you of our customer service policy.
Therefore, if your order confirmation was sent to you 5 weeks ago or more, please reply directly to your confirmation email or contact us by email at contact@the-montessori-shop.com.

4.4 Change of delivery address
We can adjust the delivery address at any time before the order is shipped for address change requests.
4.5 Mailbox delivery
The Montessori Shop only delivers items to postal addresses, using the postal service for shipments. We are currently unable to provide email services to these addresses.
4.6 Out of stock products
In the event that a product is out of stock, we will contact you to determine whether you would like to wait until the product is available or if a voucher would be a better option for you. This voucher will be worth more than the amount of your initial purchase.
4.7 Excessive delivery time
If the delivery time has been exceeded, please email us at contact@the-montessori-shop.com so that we can handle your request.
Tracking alert
When your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking link so that you can track your package using the most recent information provided by the shipping service.
Packages damaged during transport.
If you notice that a package has been damaged during shipping, please refuse delivery if possible and contact our customer service department. If the package was delivered without you being present, please contact The Montessori Shop customer service by email at contact@the-montessori-shop.com.
Taxes and duties
7.1 Sales tax
When you place your order on The Montessori Shop, sales tax is already included in the price of the items.
7.2 Import taxes and duties
Import duties and taxes may be charged upon arrival for shipments to foreign countries. These charges may vary from country to country, and The Montessori Shop invites you to inquire about these potential costs before finalizing your order with us. If you do not pay the duties and taxes upon importation into your country, the items will be returned to The Montessori Shop at the expense of the buyer, who will then be refunded the amount of the items purchased, less the shipping costs for the return. The first shipment will not be refunded.
Cancellation
If you reconsider your order before it is delivered to The Montessori Shop, we can accept cancellations at any time before the order is shipped. If your order has already been shipped, please refer to our refund policy at the bottom of the page.

The carrier offers insurance for parcels, covering damage and loss up to the declared value. Loss is declared as soon as the postal service confirms its occurrence. A delivery validated by the postal authorities will be considered valid. The Montessori Shop has unfortunately encountered too many situations where malicious customers claimed not to have received their order for us to rely solely on the customer's statement. Nevertheless, The Montessori Shop will endeavor to satisfy you either by returning the items you purchased at its expense or by offering you a voucher for a value greater than the amount of your initial order.
9.1 Handling of packages damaged during transport
We will issue a refund or exchange in accordance with the return and refund policy indicated at the bottom of this page.
9.2 Procedure in case of loss of a package during transport
If the postal services report a loss during delivery, The Montessori Shop will endeavor to satisfy you by returning the items you purchased at its expense or by offering you a voucher for a value greater than your initial order.
